Invitation to Springer Book
"Agent-Based Optimization"


It is our pleasure to invite you to submit a chapter proposal to our edited book: Agent-Based Optimization (Edited by: Ireneusz Czarnowski, Piotr Jedrzejowicz and Janusz Kacprzyk,) to appear in the prestigious series of Springer Studies in Computational Intelligence (SCI), details of which can be found on http://www.springer.com/series/7092. The expected publication date is fall 2012.

Topics of submitted chapters should focus on solutions where the multi-agent paradigm is used to enhance or replace traditional approaches to solving difficult optimization problems. The topic list may include (but is not limited to) the following:

To prepare the book the following schedule is proposed:

  1. Invitation acceptance and submission of the chapter proposal: (extended to) 30 Nov. 2011 the submission is open to 31 Jan.
  2. Submission of chapter: 15 Dec. 2011
  3. Preliminary decision from editors based on referees report: 31 Jan. 2012
  4. Resubmission: 29 Feb. 2012
  5. Final decision based on referees report: 31 Mar. 2012
  6. Final version submission: 15 Apr. 2012

The chapter of 25-30 pages should be formatted in accordance with the Studies in Computational Intelligence requirements which can be found on: http://www.springer.com/authors/book+authors?SGWID=0-154102-12-417900-0 (see the template: "For contributed books, proceedings, and similar")
